Mr. Philip Morales, M.Ed--11th Grade Assistant Principal

With immense enthusiasm and gratitude, I am honored to join the Hazelwood Central team as your new Assistant Principal. As an educator with over 18 years of diverse experience, I have dedicated my career to inspiring excellence in both the classroom and on the field, teaching high school science and coaching football and wrestling. My path has led me through a range of educational environments, including four years at Vianney High School and seven years in a district facing accreditation challenges, where I played an instrumental role in achieving full accreditation. Most recently, I served at McCluer High School for seven years, continually expanding my leadership through roles on the Instructional Leadership Team and Student Expectation Leadership Team. These opportunities have empowered me to shape school culture and student achievement. I was also privileged to help launch the district’s first administrative cohort, fueling my passion for innovative leadership and collaborative school communities.

At the core of my philosophy is a powerful belief: every student deserves the opportunity to thrive—not only academically, but also socially and emotionally—so they may become confident, compassionate, and responsible citizens. I am deeply committed to cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment in which every student feels valued, empowered, and inspired to reach their highest potential. Recognizing that each learner’s journey is unique, I am dedicated to helping all students discover their strengths and realize their dreams.

Beyond my professional life, I am recently married and a proud parent to an energetic, almost five-year-old, sassy Swiftie daughter, whose curiosity and spirit remind me daily of the importance of our work with young people. I am truly excited to bring my experience, passion, and unwavering student-centered focus to Hazelwood Central. Together, I am confident we will create an environment where every student can excel, and I look forward to partnering with you as we write the next chapter of success for our school community.
