Ms. Remy Bryant, Assistant Principal

Greetings Hazelwood Central High School Community,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction as I begin my journey as an Assistant Principal at Hazelwood Central High School!

Over the past twelve years, I have had the opportunity to grow in various leadership roles, including teacher leader, instructional coach, data team leader, and curriculum coordinator. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal, where my primary role was to support both students and staff by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment—while also ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school.

While these leadership experiences have been incredibly rewarding, teaching remains at the heart of my work. As a classroom teacher, I was honored to be recognized by the Saint Louis Science Center for Excellence in Teaching Science and was proud to help my students achieve 90% proficiency on End-of-Course State Assessments.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, as well as a Master’s in Teaching Science Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. However, my proudest achievement is deeply personal—watching my son graduate from our very own Hazelwood Central High School.

I am also incredibly honored to join the dynamic leadership team under the guidance of our Head Principal, Dr. Veronica Macklin. Dr. Macklin’s vision, commitment to excellence, and passion for student success are truly inspiring. I look forward to learning from her leadership and working collaboratively to support the continued growth and achievement of our students and staff.

It is truly a privilege to serve the exceptional teachers and students of the Hazelwood Central community. My goal is to continue fostering a supportive climate and culture that empowers teaching and learning at the highest level. I am proud to be part of a school that is widely recognized as the flagship of the Hazelwood School District—where tradition, excellence, and Hawk Pride soar.

With Hawk Pride,
Remy Bryant
Assistant Principal
